President’s Notes: Sept 2019
Many of the Midwest State Fairs have already concluded, including, Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa and Indiana. The Illinois State Fair had what I believe was their first natural colored show and had an exceptionally large show with great quality. The shows at Indiana and Ohio also featured some very top animals. Congratulations to all the exhibitors and winners at all the State Fairs and the fairs that are still coming up.
Early Fall lambing is now under way and it is always exciting to welcome the new crop of lambs regardless of when you choose to start your lambing each year. Everyone should also make sure your prior year lambs that you plan on retaining get timely registered.
It is also time to prepare for the later shows and Expositions that will be coming up and I wish everyone great success in any of these shows you plan on attending.
As always if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns feel free to contact myself or Kate Lowder. Much information can be found on our website as well as contact information for the Registry and all officers and board members. It is always nice to hear from NCWGA members especially about any local or area events involving natural colored sheep or fleeces.
