2014 Scholarship Winner

NCWGA Congratulates Tiffany Deakin as the 2014 NCWGA Scholarship Winner.

Tiffany has been involved in Sheep Production for 20 years and with NCWGA for 5 years. Tiffany raises Natural Colored Border Leicester's for the Wool production. She sell her fleeces all over the US and to a manufacturer of Bow String Silencers.

Tiffany is a graduate of Cuba High School, Cuba, IL. She is currently attending the University of Illinois and expects to graduate in 2016 with a double major in Psychology and Communication.

NCWGA Scholarship

Each Year NCWGA sponsors a $500.00 Scholarship for youth members headed for college. You must be graduating from an accredited or chartered school to be eligible, plus be a member in good standing, Junior or Regular, of NCWGA to qualify. In addition, you must have proof of acceptance or enrollment in the college, and have raised natural colored sheep.

Along with a completed application, three letters of recommendation from qualified people such as teachers, counselors, or community leaders must be included.

This scholarship is based on merit, not financial need. Remember to give a complete outline of yourself. In addition to academics, include community and other organization involvement. Pictures, newspaper articles, etc, are acceptable documents.

Deadline is September 15,2015

Incomplete applications will be disqualified. Entries must be postmarked by Sept 15, 2015 or they will be disqualified. Funds will be distributed after NCWGA Board makes the selection. The winner will be announced in the Marker publication.
